COMMUNITY
Supporting our community through giving has always been a cornerstone of our business. Each year we give 5% of our profit to charitable organizations that provide lasting impact.
We also believe donating our time, talent and resources is equally as important as the income we give. Our team members give significant hours each year volunteering in their communities.
The organizations we support seek improve wellness, sustainability, education, diversity & inclusion, among other noble pursuits.
Today in America, the circumstances of children’s births predict the opportunities they have in life. Our public education system is not designed to give all students agency to overcome the barriers they face, to lead in a global world, or to shape a better future for themselves or for all of us. At Teach For America, we know that no single solution is sufficient to bring about an equitable and excellent education for all children.
In 1980, Nancy G. Brinker promised her dying sister, Susan, that she would do everything in her power to end breast cancer forever. In 1982, that promise became the Susan G. Komen® organization and the beginning of a global movement. What was started with $200 and a shoebox full of potential donor names has now grown into the world’s largest nonprofit source of funding for the fight against breast cancer.
Driven by the vision that everyone needs a decent place to live, Habitat for Humanity began in 1976 as a grassroots effort on a community farm in southern Georgia. The Christian housing organization has since grown to become a leading global nonprofit working in more than 1,300 communities throughout the U.S. and in more than 70 countries. Families and individuals in need of a hand up partner with Habitat for Humanity to build or improve a place they can call home.
Tens of thousands of volunteers, donors and supporters advance the Make-A-Wish® vision to grant the wish of every child diagnosed with a critical illness. In the United States and its territories, on average, a wish is granted every 34 minutes. We believe a wish experience can be a game-changer. This one belief guides us and inspires us to grant wishes that change the lives of the kids we serve.
Our network of local Chapters has been helping millions of families with sick children find comfort and support when they need it most. Our programs, tailored to meet the urgent needs of each community, can now be found in more than 64 countries and regions across the globe. Since 1974, RMHC has created programs that strengthen families during difficult times. RMHC provides vital resources and compassionate care to children and their families being served by leading hospitals worldwide.
The School Fund is a person-to-person crowdfunding platform and nonprofit organization through which donors directly contribute to educational scholarships for low-income students in countries that do not offer free, public secondary school.[1] Like other civic crowdfunding platforms,[2] through The School Fund, large numbers of online visitors support philanthropic efforts by pooling small contributions. The School Fund crowdfunds for students who don't have money to pay for school.
